Internship

Internship

Our Internship programme has been designed to equip our interns with the following basic yet important skill sets:

  • Reviewing with clients / taking instructions
  • Note taking in client meetings
  • Drafting and amending simple contracts
  • Drafting and amending letters, including letter of demand
  • File management
  • Conducting legal research

We acknowledge that young aspiring career seekers like to experience working in a foreign country. We had just collaborated on the NUS – RHTLaw International Internship Programme to provide selected NUS students with opportunities to gain international work experience with offices in Germany and the United Kingdom of Taylor Wessing International Law Practice.

INTERNSHIP FAQ

Are my grades important?

You are where you are today because you have what it takes and academic results, though important, is no entirely the true measure of your ability. We also want to see what you can do as opposed to what you have already done. Amongst other things, we also look for abilities, CCAs, your values and your vision, and base it on the needs of the practice.

Here at RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, we feel that you will require a minimum of 1 month to fully experience the breadth of work and office culture.

Will I be allocated to the area that I am interested in?

We will try our best to suit your learning needs. If you are interested to rotate between Practices during your term with us, that can be arranged as well.

Who will I be working with?

Your mentor will be a Partner within the firm. We believe in an open, direct working relationship between Partners and Interns. You may also be required to shadow Associates and Paralegals to expose you to the full rigour of legal work.
